This and That

I haven’t done much this week due to my knee-I am seeing a doctor today in fact-but I always have photos to share. The secret to good photos: it’s not the equipment, it’s not necessarily your “eye” though that helps, but it’s getting out, walking around, keeping your eyes open and your curiosity turned high and just taking photos. You won’t get photos just thinking about it. That’s why I had to go back a bit in my archives because I’ve done very little lately.

How you can tell you are near Invalides.
I don’t know the original use of this building but it sure is interesting looking.
A full moon before it was covered by the clouds.
Seen at the shop of my daughter in law.
A friend of mine sold her apartment and gave me her very nice martini glasses so I went out and got the ingredients for one. I’ve never made one before and, even though I followed a recipe, I’m not sure if I did it right. The first sip knocks your socks off but by the time you finish it, it’s quite tasty. Maybe it was the olives. It gave me a hangover though.

  1. What a nice gift. I would think your friend gets pleasure out of “seeing” you enjoy the glasses and the view. If those glasses could talk!

  2. Hello Linda. I hope all goes well at the doctor’s. I have to say (again) how much I adore your bird’s eye view over Paris. I see Sacre Coeur glowing on the horizon in the moonlight. Sending good thoughts your way that your knee will improve very soon and you can go out to do some of that wonderful photowalking again.
