November 25th-Here it is Thanksgiving Day and I am once again in Paris, not in the States as I had hoped to be last year. It gets a little depressing to be in a foreign country on an American holiday that I love. I am not even going to make the traditional Thanksgiving meal as Maurice is out of town. Instead, I am meeting a friend at an American place here called The Real McCoy and will have a turkey sandwich, one with not only turkey on it but dressing and cranberry sauce as well, a way I used to make my sandwiches to use up the leftovers.

It has been rather dreary weather here the last couple of weeks so, yesterday, when the clouds went away, the sun came out and the sky was a bright blue, I got out with my camera into the Luxembourg Garden area to take some photos. I have been so busy doing tours that I haven't done this in quite a while. I had forgotten how much I enjoy it.

They always have mums in these urns in the autumn.

View of the pond in the garden.

View of the Luxembourg Palace.

I think this looks really elegant.

Nearby is St Sulpice. This view is from the back.

The front of the church. The other tower is covered with scaffolding.

Florists in Paris always have wonderful displays outside their shops.
