Journal back to journal
2003 index November 14th I think Autumn is my favorite time in Paris. The skies can be an incredible dark blue, the sun always slants at extraordinary angles and the color of the trees is always incredibly beautiful. After the really hot summer that we had this year, a lot of the trees had lost their leaves due to heat stress, but there were still a few looking good this autumn. This is the back of Hotel d'Ville not often seen. We saw it from the top of BHV. A street going along the back with a view of the Seine further on. Some great ivy turning gold on a Paris building. Glass recycling is done here and this container is obviously full.
Autumn in the Luxembourg Gardens. I love the way they display the crysthanthimums. Here is that great slant of the autumn sun behind some trees. |
